I joined AMP City in March of 2003 after working in the London insurance market for a syndicate of Lloyds. I now manage my own insurance portfolio, made up of a vast array of clients including individuals, families, sole traders, companies and entreprenuers. My clients benefit from a strong technical expertise in risk assessment, policy management and claims negotiation. I have a strong interest in personal risk (life, Income Protection, Trauma and Health Insurance) markets, but I am a General Insurance specialist by trade, focusing on such risk solutions as liability and small business coverage, private home, motor, asset protection and commercial property. I have a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Otago and am a Director of AMP City.

Appointed as a Director of Wellington City Financial Services in 2005, John’s role within AMP City is continuing with what he has been succeeding at for over 20 years; taking care of his clients’ insurance requirements.  John is a strong believer in “honesty, integrity and service.” John is Wellington born and bred, married with three children and has lived in the Eastern Suburbs for over 45 years.  John’s clients are located locally, nationally and internationally.  These clients have chosen John to provide insurance ranging from multi-million dollar buildings, to third party car insurance as well as life and income protection insurance.  An ample understanding of property, business and personal risk protection is only part of what has made John a successful insurance adviser in New Zealand.  What he is admired for first and foremost, is his ability to be there for his clients when they need him most.

I joined the AMP as an Agent on the 4th March 1968 and over many years have advised people on products incorporating Life, Trauma, Disability and Income Protection on the Life side of the business and House, Contents, Motor Vehicle, Pleasure-craft, Buildings, Businesses and all facets of Liability cover on the General Insurance side. Over many years I have grown my business to be now one of the largest Agencies in AMP in New Zealand and have been recognised by AMP with many awards such as membership of the prestigious AMICUS Club and receiving the Pinnacle Award in 1988 which is awarded to the highest performing Agent across the industry. I have always recognised service and quality of product as a priority when dealing with prospective and existing clients. I regard AMP and myself as a team and feel privileged to be part of a wonderful organisation who are leaders in their field having served Australia and New Zealand for 170 years and are currently one of the top 20 companies listed on ASX.

I joined AMP in 1980 specialising in Investment and Retirement Planning.

Over the last 38 years, events such as the 1987 Share Crash, the Asian Financial Crisis of 1997/1998 and the 2008 Global Financial Crisis, as well as some good years, have taught me a great deal, accumulated knowledge that I enjoy sharing with my clients.

I am still as passionate about meeting client needs through Investing wisely as I was all those years ago. I'll work closely with you to help you achieve your financial goals. Establishing a Retirement Plan, even a simple one, is a good way to ensure you will have sufficient funds when it matters. I have been a multi award winner with AMP including one of the very few to be admitted to AMP's Amicus Club and am a qualified Solicitor (UK).

Insurance has been my life since 1986.  Prior to this I was a production manager in the manufacture of human pharmaceuticals and cosmetics.  My working life has always involved communication with people of all ages and walks of life.  Trust and competence is the backbone of my business relationship with my clients.  Upper Hutt is my office base where I have a full time support staff and I am available for contact by phone, email or text at anytime.  I look forward to your call.

Many of my clients put sorting out their insurances in the “too hard basket”. I take this load off them by making the whole insurance process as simple and pain-free as possible. Whether they're buying a home, having a change in family circumstances, or reviewing their business insurances, I can provide them with advice and give them the guidance to find the right products to suit their needs. I enjoy the intricacies of personal risk insurance (Life, Income Protection, Trauma and Health Insurance), and helping people with Home/Contents/Vehicle and Business Covers. I'm a mother of 3 who regularly volunteers with Kindy, School and community organisations. My previous professional experience before joining AMP City in 2010 was as an IT Consultant with the global management consultancy Accenture, so I have the capacity to handle complex situations and show attention to detail. I hold a Bachelor of Commerce and a BA from Victoria University.
