I joined AMP City Financial Services (AMP City) in March of 2003 after working in the London insurance market for a syndicate of Lloyds. I now manage my own insurance portfolio, made up of a vast array of clients including individuals, families, sole traders, companies and entreprenuers. My clients benefit from a strong technical expertise in risk assessment, policy management and claims negotiation. I have a strong interest in personal risk (life, Income Protection, Trauma and Health Insurance) markets, but I am a General Insurance specialist by trade, focusing on such risk solutions as liability and small business coverage, private home, motor, asset protection and commercial property. I have a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Otago and am a Director of AMP City.

I joined AMP City Financial Services (AMP City) in April 2017 having retired from a professional cricket career of 20 years, and became a director in 2020.

My career in cricket began at Northern Districts Cricket Association in 1998, before playing for New Zealand from 2001-2007. Following this I moved to the UK permanently to play for Gloucestershire County Cricket Club where I finished in September 2016. I moved my family back to Wellington, New Zealand to pursue an opportunity with AMP City as an insurance and investment adviser, as well as represent the Wellington Firebirds.

I specialise in personal and business risk insurance. This includes advice in the areas of life, trauma, and disability insurances; income protection insurance; home, contents, motor, and watercraft insurance, and business and liability insurance.

I joined AMP City Financial Services (AMP City) in December 2016 after 4 years as an AMP Adviser with Gisborne Financial Services. Gisborne-based, my insurance portfolio has a strong rural & commercial focus. As a previous small business owner I understand the importance of quality advice and a detailed risk protection plan.

I also offer personal risk insurance, including life, income protection, trauma, disability, health and general insurance. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my wife and two boys – surfing and playing sport, as well as supporting local initiatives and events.

I joined AMP City Financial Services (AMP City) in January 1990 as a financial adviser. My career prior to this was in the financial markets as a money market dealer in New Zealand representing AMP, CitiBank and NatWest Bank plus Bank of New Zealand as Manager - Money Market Services, based in Wellington. I believe I am in the business of helping my clients achieve their financial goals through long term saving and risk management. I am keen they have the correct covers in place for their domestic general insurance (house, contents, motor vehicles etc.) and business-related insurance. I also specialise in personal risk covers (life, disability, trauma) for family protection and key person business insurance.

Appointed as a Director of Wellington City Financial Services (trading as AMP City Financial Services) in 2005 (retiring as a director in 2020), John’s role within AMP City is continuing with what he has been succeeding at for over 20 years; taking care of his clients’ insurance requirements.  John is a strong believer in “honesty, integrity and service.” John is Wellington born and bred, married with three children and has lived in the Eastern Suburbs for over 45 years.  John’s clients are located locally and nationally. These clients have chosen John to provide insurance ranging from multi-million dollar buildings, to third party car insurance as well as life and income protection insurance.  An ample understanding of property, business and personal risk protection is only part of what has made John a successful insurance adviser in New Zealand.  What he is admired for first and foremost, is his ability to be there for his clients when they need him most.

I have recently taken on an accounts support role at AMP City and am responsible for the office payroll. I am a true Wellingtonian, growing up in the Eastern suburbs, but have been living in the Northern suburbs my married life. With a strong passion for business, people and property from a young age, Paul completed a Bachelor of Business Studies degree in Valuation and Property Management at Massey University in 2010 whilst also working 4 years at Property IQ.

Pauls career began at CBRE in March 2011, one of the worlds largest commercial real estate services and investment firms. Paul became an Associate Director in the Wellington Office Leasing team in three years and quickly created a reputation during this period for often achieving the most leasing transactions annually in the company (totalling 303 leasing transactions) and has an ability to achieve a solution for his client in an efficient and professional manner.

Paul’s most memorable leasing transaction was his first in Panama Street of circa 45m2 and his largest being 113 The Terrace of 9,200m2 to the Wellington City Council.

10 years in the commercial property sector provided the opportunity to work with various clients from individuals, family trusts, companies, institutions and government.

In 2021 Paul has taken the opportunity to grow his career and he is excited to have joined the team at AMP City Financial Services as an insurance adviser and to work alongside his father John Soulis who has been with AMP City for over 26 years having established an excellent reputation in the Wellington market and admiration for always being there for his clients when they need him most.
