A small consulting business had multiple partners who were the primary income source for the business. Garrick reviewed their situation and it became apparent that without each of them working, the business would likely collapse. Key Person cover for Life, Trauma and Income Protection was put in place for them which would help employ another person if something should happen to any of them.
On a sunny Saturday afternoon, one of the partners suffered a heart attack while mountain biking. Although he was able to return to work, he wasn’t able to work at full capacity for some time. Due to the severity of his heart attack, the Trauma benefit paid out to the business, so they were able to hire someone else while the partner fully recovered. Thanks to Garrick’s advice, the business is still running today.
